Selection Criteria

Recipients will be selected based on:

Leadership and influence

Business impact and measurable contributions

Innovation and problem-solving

Commitment to their organization, customers, and the industry

Future leadership potential

Up to 40 professionals will be recognized as the inaugural 40 Under 40 in Chemicals Class.

Who Should Be Nominated?

Nominees should:

Demonstrate meaningful leadership and measurable business impact.
Be making a difference within their organization, with customers, or across the chemical industry.
Show the character, initiative, and potential to become one of the industry’s future leaders.
Work within the chemical industry or its value chain, including manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, technology providers, and other organizations supporting the industry.
Be under the age of 40 as of September 30, 2026.

Leadership comes in many forms. We encourage nominations from every business function and discipline.

Recognition

Recipients will be recognized during The Chemical Summit on September 30, 2026, in Houston, Texas, alongside senior leaders from across the chemical industry.

Nomination Process

Complete the online nomination form by September 15, 2026.

Nominations may be submitted by managers, executives, colleagues, mentors, customers, or other industry professionals familiar with the nominee’s accomplishments.

Following the nomination deadline, submissions will be reviewed by an independent selection committee. Up to 40 recipients will be selected and notified prior to The Chemical Summit.
